2908 Gaines Landing

This is one of those truly extraordinary homes that must be experienced in person. Set along the Lynnhaven Bay, this remarkable property offers a rare blend of natural beauty, artistry, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design. The grounds are a gardener's dream, lovingly designed and maintained by the Master Gardener owner. Native plantings create a true pollinator's paradise, attracting abundant wildlife and earning certifications, including Certified Wildlife Habitat and Monarch Waystation. Meandering walkways lead through the front and side gardens, where designated beds showcase hundreds of varieties of flowers. The backyard is a breathtaking retreat, anchored by a spectacular 72-foot Pennsylvania Bluestone horizontal fountain inspired by the famed fountains of the Alhambra Palace in Granada. Mature trees frame the grounds, creating privacy and serenity as the property culminates at a private dock overlooking the Lynnhaven Bay with deep-water access. Inside, a dramatic entrance features a distinctive $35,000 Chihuly-style chandelier, custom-blown by local artist John Quillen, who studied under Dale Chihuly. Natural light pours throughout the home beneath soaring cathedral ceilings. The beautifully remodeled kitchen features quartz countertops, custom cabinetry, top-of-the-line appliances, and a spectacular island topped with fossil-filled Italian marble dating back millions of years-a truly one-of-a-kind focal point. The home offers an expansive great room, dining room, library, and five bedrooms, including two ensuite bedrooms. Additional features include a large two-car garage, RV electrical hookup, and an immaculate crawl space with a $6,000 dehumidifier. A home of this character, artistry, and setting is exceptionally rare-and not one you are likely to encounter again.
